Project Summary
SuperPoke! Pets is an online experience where a user can adopt a virtual pet. They can play with it, clean it and feed it, as well as have it interact with their friend's pets. Every interaction the user has with their pet, they get pet points for leveling up, as well as pet money they can use to purchase accessories for their pet and their pets habitat. The game has an audience of 170 million world wide on facebook, myspace and superpokepets.com.
I analyzed the current layout and created to levels of implementation. The first was a basic HTML/CSS coded reorganization of the games interface, leaving much of the information unchanged. The second implementation was a much deeper integration of the game's exciting information into the game play board.
Game Play
SuperPoke! Pets consists of the game board and other information zones. The major zones are broken into the tabs across the top, the level area, the main board (including money and gold amounts), and the more community-oriented information in two columns down at the bottom. Because of the current zoning, much of the exciting information about the pet is disconnected visually from the main game. My goal was to redesign the main interface to make the experience cleaner, as well as design a few new objects and characters for the game. I created a PDF of my design process.
